How to Safely Clean Your Pizza Oven

It's extremely important to regularly clean your pizza stone. From cheese to other toppings, your stone goes through a lot — and if you neglect to clean it, your pizza crusts will begin to come out charred and burnt.

How often you need a deep clean depends on how frequently you use your unit and what kind of cooking you do. If you use parchment paper, cast iron, or similar, and your stone doesn't see much direct action, you can go a little longer between cleans.
